Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The Fifth International Jujube Symposium (5th IJS) sponsored by the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) will be held in Baoding

(150km south of Beijing, the capital of China) in September 5~8, 2021. This symposium is to provide an international forum on jujube (Ziziphus Mill.)

with total growing area of approximately 2 million hectare and total production of over 8 million tons. Approximately 20 million farmers rely on jujube

Under the auspices of ISHS, the First to the Forth IJS were successfully held in Baoding, China (2008), Xinzheng, China (2011), Brisbane, Australia (2014) and

Istanbul, Turkey (2018) respectively. The Third and the Fourth IJS were also one of the symposia of the 29th and 30th International Horticultural Congress.

On behalf of the organizing committee of 5th IJS, I sincerely invite you to participate in the symposium. I am looking forward to meeting you in Baoding,
